Google Ads management for service businesses.
Somebody in your service area just typed the exact job you do into Google. Whether they reach you or the company that outbid you is decided in an auction that ran while they were still reading the page.
We build and run your Google Ads campaigns: the targeting, the creative, and the day to day management, with every lead landing in your CRM tied to the ad that paid for it. You never open an ad account, and your budget goes straight to Google.
$200 to get started, then 15% of ad spend. No agency retainer, and no other line required. Add the AI CRM ($249/mo) if you want the leads answered and attributed there.
- Fully managed Google Ads
- Campaigns, creative, and optimization
- Every lead tracked in your CRM
Google Ads for a service business is paid search aimed at people who are already looking for the job you do, in the area you actually serve. It works when the campaign buys the right searches, excludes the wrong ones, sends the click to a page that answers the question the search asked, and someone answers the phone. WebDevAuto builds, launches, and manages that for you, and every lead lands in your CRM tied to the ad that produced it.
What it costs
Start with Ad Studio
Your advertising plan is selected. Ad Studio needs no other line, so the price below is the one-time setup plus 15% of what you spend. Add the AI CRM if you want the leads your ads produce to land somewhere that tracks them back to the spend.
$200 one time
$200 one time to get started, and no monthly line of its own.
Ad Studio has no monthly of its own: the one-time setup, then 15% of your ad spend, billed as you spend it, with no agency retainer. Any monthly shown is the AI CRM, which is optional and can be added or left out. Your ad budget goes to Google and Meta directly.

How it works
You run the jobs. We run the ads.
Four things you hand over on day one. The step-by-step is in the detail below.
We make the creative
On-brand short-form video with voiceover and music, plus static image ads, built for your trade and your offer. No shoot day, no videographer to book.
We launch and manage
Campaigns built and targeted on both Google and Meta, then optimized day to day. You never open an ad account.
Your budget stays yours
Ad spend goes straight to Google and Meta, never through us. We charge a one-time setup and 15% of what you spend, with no agency retainer on top.
Every lead is traced back
Add the AI CRM and every call, form, and message lands there tied to the ad that produced it, so you see booked jobs rather than clicks and impressions. Ads run without it; this is what turns spend into a number you can read.
Part of your WebDevAuto system
Ads buy attention now. The system decides whether you keep it.
Advertising is the fastest lever here and the only one that stops the day you stop paying. It works best pointed at a system that converts and compounds.
- Ad StudioYou are herePuts you in front of people on Google and Meta today, at whatever budget you set.
- Your websiteWhere the click lands. A slow page is you paying for a visitor who leaves.
- Ava, your AI receptionistAnswers the calls the ads produce, including the ones that come in at 9pm.
- Local SEOThe half that keeps working between campaigns. Ranking does not stop when the budget does.
- Review automationTurns the jobs your ads bought into the reviews that make the next click cheaper.
Or buy the paid and the organic together
Pick Run my ads, and build what compounds in the flow above and you get the managed campaigns plus the ranking underneath them, with paid and organic leads in one place so you can see which one is actually cheaper for you.
Want to understand how it works?
Here is exactly how we build, operate, and improve it: every step from the day you say yes, why handing it over beats an agency retainer or running it yourself, and what the trade-offs actually are.
Google Ads catches demand that already exists
- ▸The intent is already there, so the job is to be present and credible. Nobody needs persuading that they have a leaking water heater. They need a business that looks reachable, local, and open. Ad copy that spends its space building desire is spending it in the wrong place.
- ▸The competition is a live auction, not a fixed rate. What a click costs depends on who else is bidding for that search in your area at that moment, how relevant your ad and landing page are, and what you are willing to pay. Two businesses in the same trade and the same city can pay very different amounts for the same click.
- ▸Timing is the whole game in the emergency trades. A furnace search at 6am and the same search at 2pm are different customers with different urgency. Campaign hours, budget pacing, and who answers the phone all matter more here than the wording of the headline.
- ▸The landing page is part of the ad. A slow page does not just lose the visitor, it raises what you pay for every future click, because relevance and experience feed back into the auction. This is the one place where the ads and the website stop being separate purchases.
Where a Google Ads budget actually leaks
- ▸Broad matching without negatives. Left alone, a campaign will happily buy searches for "how to fix it yourself", "jobs", "salary", and the name of a competitor. A negative keyword list is not an optimization, it is the difference between buying customers and buying readers.
- ▸Geography set to the wrong thing. The default location setting reaches people interested in your area, not only people in it. For a business that drives to the customer, that is budget spent on somebody three states away reading about your city.
- ▸No conversion tracking, so nothing can be optimized. An account measuring clicks is being optimized toward clicks. An account measuring booked jobs is being optimized toward booked jobs. Without the second, every decision after launch is a guess dressed up as data.
- ▸Calls that nobody answers. In the trades a large share of paid response arrives by phone, often outside business hours. Paying for the click and then sending the caller to voicemail is the most expensive thing an account can do, and it does not show up as a problem in the ads dashboard.
- ▸Sending every click to the homepage. The homepage answers "who are you". The ad promised an answer to "can you fix this today". The mismatch is paid for on every single click.
What we run on the Google side
- ▸We build the campaigns and the targeting. Search campaigns aimed at the jobs you actually want, in the area you actually serve, with the negatives in place from the start rather than added after a month of waste.
- ▸We produce the creative. Video and image ads for the placements that take them, built for your trade and your offer, without a shoot day.
- ▸We manage it day to day. Budget moves toward what produces. You never open an ad account.
- ▸Every lead lands in your CRM, tied to the campaign that produced it. Calls, forms, and messages arrive on the same customer record as the rest of your pipeline, so what you read at the end of the month is booked jobs rather than impressions.
- ▸Your ad budget stays yours. It goes straight to Google and never passes through us. We charge the one time setup and 15% of what you spend, and nothing else is required. Add the AI CRM ($249/mo) if you want the leads to land there and be tied back to the spend.
Ads and ranking are not alternatives
Paid search buys the top of the page today and stops the day the card stops. Local ranking takes longer to arrive and keeps working between campaigns. They are different instruments, and the honest answer to "which one" is usually "the ads now, the ranking underneath them", because the ranking is what makes the next click cheaper: a business with real reviews and a solid profile converts the paid traffic it is already paying for at a better rate.
If your budget only covers one and you are not yet visible at all, we will say so on the call rather than sell you the more expensive line.
Agency, do-it-yourself, or let us run it
| Agency or do-it-yourself | WebDevAuto runs them for you | |
|---|---|---|
| Creative production | A shoot day or a freelance designer, days to weeks per asset | On-brand video and image ads produced fast, refreshed whenever you need |
| Who runs the campaigns | You, or an agency you still have to brief and manage | We build, launch, and optimize on Google and Meta, moving budget to what produces |
| What it costs | An agency retainer plus ad spend, or your own hours plus ad spend | $200 to get started, then 15% of ad spend. No separate retainer |
| Tracking results | Clicks and impressions in a dashboard you have to read | Leads and booked jobs in your CRM, tied to the ad that brought them in |
The hard part of advertising was never the budget. It was making the creative, running the campaigns, and knowing what actually worked. We do all three.
The rest of the paid and organic picture
Google is one half of the paid side, and paid is one half of getting found.
The other half of the managed service, for the demand that has not started searching yet.
Working a budget back from your job value and close rate, instead of guessing at a monthly number.
The half that keeps working between campaigns, and makes the paid clicks convert better.
Which one to start with when the budget only covers one of them.
Pricing for Ad Studio
Ad Studio is $200 to get started, a one-time setup, then 15% of your ad spend, fully managed. That covers all of it: the creative, the campaign builds on Google and Meta, and the day-to-day optimization. Your ad budget stays yours and goes straight to the platforms.
Nothing else is required. It is not sold as an add-on to another line, so the cart reads $200 once plus the percentage, and that is the whole bill.
Most clients pair it with the AI CRM ($249/mo), because that is where the leads your ads produce are answered, tracked, and tied back to the spend that created them. That is a choice, not a requirement, and the ads run either way.
Start from the plan builder: add Ad Studio, pay the $200 setup, and we take it from there. No separate agency retainer.

Frequently asked questions
- How much do Google Ads cost for a service business?
- There is no flat rate. What a click costs is decided in an auction: who else is bidding for that search in your area, how relevant your ad and landing page are, and what you are prepared to pay. That is why we do not publish a cost per click for your trade, and why anybody who quotes you one without looking at your area is guessing. The useful way to set a budget is to work backwards from your average job value and how many extra jobs a month you want, which is what our budget guide walks through.
- What does WebDevAuto charge to run Google Ads?
- $200 to get started, a one time setup, then 15% of your ad spend, fully managed. That covers the creative, the campaign build, and the ongoing optimization. Your ad budget is separate, stays yours, and goes straight to Google. Nothing else is required. Most clients add the AI CRM ($249/mo) alongside it, because that is where the leads your ads produce are answered, tracked, and tied back to the spend that created them, but that is a choice rather than a requirement.
- Do you run Google Ads without the CRM?
- Yes. The setup and the 15% are the whole price and nothing else is required. What we will tell you honestly is what you give up: without somewhere that connects the call to the campaign, you are reading platform-reported clicks and conversions rather than booked jobs, and we are asking you to take our word for what the spend did. Plenty of clients run it that way and it is a reasonable trade. The offer is there if you want the harder number.
- Should I run Google Ads or work on ranking first?
- It depends on whether you need work now or work that compounds. Ads start producing within days and stop the day you stop paying. Ranking takes months and keeps working between campaigns. Most businesses are best served running the ads while the ranking is built underneath them, because the profile and reviews that ranking work produces also make the paid clicks convert better. If your budget only covers one, tell us the situation and we will say which one we would run.
- Who answers the calls the ads produce?
- You do, or Ava does. A large share of paid response in the trades arrives by phone, and often outside business hours, so paying for the click and then sending the caller to voicemail is the most expensive failure in the account. If you are on a job or asleep, our AI receptionist answers, qualifies, books, and logs the call to the same CRM record.
